He now advises both companies and communication agencies on how they can extend their brand experience into the everyday lives of their customers in new ways. Simon Roberts is an anthropologist who researched for his PhD in the teashops of northern India - typical Third places - and can claim particular expertise in the area of study. Over the last three years, Simon has worked on projects for technology, media and communication companies (Freeserve, Microsoft, One2One and P&G) to bring fresh perspectives to bear on strategic issues. He is currently working freelance on the iSociety project at the Industrial Society and on research/innovation projects in the private sector. He is an Associate member of the MRS.

Jason Ross trained as an anthropologist and now works as a researcher and strategist, developing communication, technology adoption and cultural change projects for companies and government organisations. He has worked on research and communication development projects across a range of media for clients including Procter & Gamble, Microsoft, the Welsh Development Agency and Saatchi & Saatchi. He speaks and publishes regularly and is Director of London based think tank the Idea Society.
